Moxie Law Group is a trial-focused plaintiff's law firm representing individuals and families in medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle collision, and sexual abuse cases. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing team.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Utah. The attorney in this role will primarily work with our pre-litigation team, managing injury claims from intake through settlement, negotiating with insurance carriers, evaluating damages, and helping clients navigate some of the most difficult periods of their lives. The position also offers the opportunity to gain exposure to litigation and trial practice as our cases progress.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of personal injury matters through the pre-litigation process.
Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value.
Draft demand packages and negotiate settlements with insurance carriers.
Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents as needed.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters.
Assist with litigation and trial preparation when appropriate.
Qualifications
Active Utah Bar license.
Experience drafting motions and other legal briefs.
Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, work collaboratively in a team environment, and timely complete projects.
Experience in personal injury or medical malpractice cases is preferred but not required.
